Fun in the sun for the next three months.  A few more days and we will officially enter into the summertime.  June is always a great place for us to pause and do a major review of where we are in our businesses here at DS Woodard Consulting .   I like to encourage you to do it at the same time every year because it then becomes automatic. Those who have followed me for a few years know that I do my best to maintain consistency in the message given to all who care to listen.  Our aim on this blog is generational wealth in our finances, our health, and our relationships. I started this post a few days ago and it has a beautiful picture of a beach in Florida, not Orlando, but Florida where today hatred has once again raised its persistent head. It's May and the month is moving fast.  The time to take another look at where your business is headed for the year is now.  You are actually a month late if you are just looking.  That's alright, better late than never.  The goals you set in January should be showing signs of growth.  If not it's time to reassess what you have been doing for the last four months.  All is well and I am pressing ahead with the plans I set for D.S. Woodard Consulting 2016 .  There are things I would like to see move quicker, but for the most part I am truly on schedule.  How do you stay focused?  Create a Plan of Action.  This does not have to be this big drawn out list of endless goals and ideas, but it should be some focused goals and ideas that you want to see come to fruition in the next ninety days.  Remember you the followers of this blog are going against what everyone else is doing.  You are learning to challenge the status quo by doing the things that bring you joy while c

Hello, today was a crazy day.  I woke up at 7:30am and within 15 minutes there was a loud bang like thunder and lightning or a bomb exploded.  I look out the window and I see our rental car several hundred feet from where it was parked the night before.  Thankfully no one was hurt, but the person who hit the car totaled the car, and hit the utility pole splitting it and severing the power for all of our neighbors.  As I write this post we have had our power restored now for about 3 hours, but the Verizon box was knocked loose from the same pole so they are still here at 5:30pm repairing that.  The street had to be blocked all day.  I can't show the pictures of the rental car or the truck that demolished it, but if you wake up and see the car several feet away from where it was parked, the other car even several hundred more feet ahead of your car, and within a few minutes there are about 10 or 15 of these trucks lined up, stuff leaking, several police cars, and police officers
