  Good morning, it's a great day and the month is moving along.  It's May and a month shy of the mid-year check.  This post is to remind those who say they want to create for their generational legacy.  What are you waiting for?  I speak with those who keep making excuses.  I speak with those who say I need this, or I need that.  I can tell you that yes they could use those things to get their dream off the ground and running, but I will also tell you that every excuse was created in a classroom of doubt and fear starting in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade.  I fit the same category.  I often put things off and find reasons not to move forward.  I am always coming up with a new idea and if it doesn't take off quickly, I get bored or lose interest.  I have often jumped back and forth in and out of working for a company to generate fast cash, which seems to always end with me being a little farther behind then when I started, which means I waste pre

It's that wonderful time of year again. Fun in the sun for the next three months.  A few more days and we will officially enter into the summertime.  June is always a great place for us to pause and do a major review of where we are in our businesses here at DS Woodard Consulting .   I like to encourage you to do it at the same time every year because it then becomes automatic. Those who have followed me for a few years know that I do my best to maintain consistency in the message given to all who care to listen.  Our aim on this blog is generational wealth in our finances, our health, and our relationships. I started this post a few days ago and it has a beautiful picture of a beach in Florida, not Orlando, but Florida where today hatred has once again raised its persistent head. I want to say that I'm not sure what the country can do to curtail the violence. It appears that those who choose to take lives can easily get whatever tools are necessary for them to car

Good afternoon, We hope all is well with you.  This is a new month and time keeps moving on and so must we. Have you ever asked yourself how much is enough?  How much does not refer to money only.  It also means time, commitment, and effort.  Most people don't think about this and the answer also varies from person to person.  The challenge with most is that not knowing will hold you back as you strive towards your dreams, goals and objectives.  Here are a few things to ask yourself to find how much is enough: 1.  Is there a numeric figure that you would be happy to have as you create your dreamed of life? 2.  How do you feel everyday when you do things that are steps towards achieving your goals? 3.  Have you set a realistic time frame to achieve your top 3 objectives, goals or dreams? 4.  Is what you're doing everyday to create your current income joyful, painful, or stressful? 5.  How much time do you spend daily creating your dreams, goals, or objectives?
