What have you been doing since 2021 began to get your business to the next level?  I'm not going to lie; I've been being lazy.  Not in general, like laying around and slacking, no I mean I've been lazy with my business endeavors.  I've been working at a "job"  that's been draining my business sense and my positive mentality. Whenever we don't do what we love we die a little every day.  Every time my "boss" tells me what I have to do, some new rule or order I buck against it.  I can't help it.  He asks me why do you always go against the grain?  Why do you always have something to say about the rule

Good day. This year is becoming more interesting by the day. I thought about this post today as I worked on several business projects one after the next, all generating zero dollars currently, yet all consuming major time commitment to complete. Now I know that they all are money makers in time, but after a certain amount of invested time you do have to wonder are these hobbies or are these things that I'm doing able to create a seven figure income? One of the things that those who follow me know is that I like to plan, do and then review often, which is why I change directions quickly and many times.  Successful people and successful businesses make changes and adjustments as needed. People and businesses who don't are usually left behind or forgotten. We spoke of this on the last post with the technology and the companies that refused to change and grow and how they filed bankruptcy. August is the time you will start to see real progress for the things you have sown in 2016 since January.  You will begin to feel more confident about what you are doing once this happens.  Now you know that you can teach others what you have done which increases your reach.  The goal as a business leader is to create time freedom, not a job that you own.  The difference is in the beginning you do have to commit many hours of labor, and love into building your business and you are the business, but if you continue to be there and the business can't run without you then you just own a job.   That will never allow you the time freedom that is necessary to create a lifestyle for yourself and your family that gives your life meaning and purpose.  They do not teach this in the school systems.  This is what most people learn after a lifetime of slave labor for a job that has no real reward for them in their golden years.  This is enough for today, keep track of

Fun in the sun for the next three months.  A few more days and we will officially enter into the summertime.  June is always a great place for us to pause and do a major review of where we are in our businesses here at DS Woodard Consulting .   I like to encourage you to do it at the same time every year because it then becomes automatic. Those who have followed me for a few years know that I do my best to maintain consistency in the message given to all who care to listen.  Our aim on this blog is generational wealth in our finances, our health, and our relationships. I started this post a few days ago and it has a beautiful picture of a beach in Florida, not Orlando, but Florida where today hatred has once again raised its persistent head. Hey guys, its April wow, this year is moving fast.  I love 2016 its an even number year, technology makes it so much more fun, for most of us. I'm full of energy and optimism.  I have completed quite a few of my projects for this year and I'm picking up several new ones.   I'm a big fan of " The Voice ." I love this season, the talent is phenomenal. I bring this up to share with you that you should push for your dreams, goals, and ideas. The reason I love it so much is I cry every time I hear the contestants sing. Why? Because they are attempting to live their dreams, they have broken through the wall of fear and they don't care what anyone thinks, they are going for it and are being successful.  I can sense their passion and it gives me tears of joy. What is it that you want to create, but don't for fear it might not work? I spoke with my mentor recently and he said even he has fear. We all do, the only difference is that some of us push through

Good morning, we listen to daily podcast from many leaders in different aspects of life.  Yesterday we heard a message of encouragement from a Real Estate Investor, J. Massey of Cash Flow Diary new to us, but his message was right on point. He spoke about failure. What we have been taught is to never fail or that if we fail it is a bad thing. This is why many are never successful or happy in their lives,they see the multiple failures as a curse or a road block.  What is important is to first, try something, second try it again, third understand that there is no perfection , and those who fake perfection are lying to themselves.  Here is a list of some people who are very successful and how they failed: 1. Oprah Winfrey was fired from her television job because she was too emotionally involved with her audience. 2. Dick Cheney flunked out of Yale University, not once, but twice. 3. Happy March to everyone.  The D.M.V. Is bracing for yet another winter storm on this fourth day of March, yet just around the corner spring will make it's debut.  We must be patient and press through the storm remembering that all is just as it should be. Spring is coming as it has for the last 6,000+'years.  This is the case for your business, new job opportunity or what ever venture you happen to be pursuing currently.  Things are working out with perfect timing based on your beliefs, and your focus on your desires.
