HAPPY 2012 EVERYONE!!
DS Woodard Consulting family has been on vacation since last month, however we are super excited about what the year 2012 has to offer for us here and your families and businesses.
This is a new year and it is always a new you. I am always looking for the next thing. I love change, most people don't like change, not even a little. The challange is that things are always changing. If we can learn to embrace the change in all aspects of our lives it will make our lives easier. I admit that it is not the norm so most of us have been taught to fight change or complain about change, or disagree with the change. When we realize that we don't need to be right, a major part of change is that we think things are better if they stay the same(our way the way it has always been is the right way). If this were the case then why do we progress in age? why do we mark time and celebrate the new day, the new month, the new year? Why because we realize that change is constant and we have no control over it.
This is a new year as of yesterday. The year 2012 is full of possibilitie and choices that we have control of; this year decide to embrace the change that comes your way in a positive manner. Step back a little and view it from the perspective of an observer of your life. What goals or dreams did you have for 2011? Have you taken any positive action towards those goals? Have you completed any of them or are they just a forgotten memory? Don't answer these questions they are irrelevant, start where you are today January 2, 2012. Pull out a notebook or journal then put your thoughts of what you would like to see yourself being or doing from this day forward. If you don't get anything right away, it is ok. You may need to take a vacation or spend less time watching the electronic income reducer(watching endless-tv). Use your magnificent mind to create the life you want. " A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." Confucius.
Make this year a great one, do something that you've always wanted to do, yet never made time or researched what it would take to get to it. "Do or Do Not there is no try." Yoda
